Season's Greetings everyone,
A few reminders parents:
The studio will be closed for the Christmas break from Dec. 23rd to Jan. 8th 2012 and we return to classes on the Monday 9th of January
Please make sure your Term 2 payments are in order and see Sandra Rake at the office before Dec 15th As well as your ballet exam fees. Much appreciated.
Costumes for Competition students: After the Christmas break, please review the list on office window for balances owing and or ask at the front desk to clear your account for any balances owing. Once account is paid in full then you may take your costumes home!
Costumes for recital students: Barb will be in the studio to do measurements the week returning from the Christmas break. Please make sure your child gets measured by Barb, and if you are going to be away that first week back, contact her and your teacher with specifics so arrangements can be made so measurements can be done. We need specific measurements so we can order the proper sizes.
**Note: Once costumes are received any alterations are the responsibility of the parents.

Schedule will be posted on bulletin boards in main hallway in Feb.
Pictures will be May 14th 15th & 16th at McMaster Photographers - times TBA and will be posted on bulletin board in early May
Ballet exams and tap evaluations
- Miss Ruth's EL A/B grade 3 ISTD June 1st at 5:00pm will be in groups of 3 every 45 min. with ISTD examiner these exams will be arranged by Ruth and Aletheia - (Schedule TBA and Posted)
- Miss Ruth and Miss Aletheia Junior A/B - Either May 28th OR June 1st depending on teachers decision - watch for specific date in spring to be posted
- Miss Ashley's Junior 1 Ballet exam is Monday June 4th at 5:00pm
- Miss Ashley's Primary level Ballet exam is Monday June 4th at 6:00pm
- Miss Ashley's & Emily's Jr C Ballet exam is Monday June 4th at 7:00pm
- Miss Gillian's Grade 1 will be having their exam date on June 7th 5:45pm
- Miss Abby's Primary level is June 7th at 6:45pm
From the Elementary C and upwards to Senior A Master level, Miss Kati will prepare Vagonova exams
- Dates to be June 3rd and June 10th for ballet exams (Schedule TBA and Posted)
- Please note that these exact times are subject to changes, so keep on top of it
All ballet payment for exams must be in no later Dec 15th 2011
Ballet exams are Mandatory for ALL levels.
We will use these results for placement in small group classes for next year.
Tap exams: if students are ready dates will be posted by Miss Joanne for May ** Congratulations girls and Miss Joanne who just completed the most recent grade 5 tap exam. It was completed with excellence!!!! Awesome effort and really well done everyone :
RECITAL
We are changing the format of SGSD recitals as we have quite a lot of additional competition routines this year. So to keep the recitals at a reasonable time frame we are dividing the performances into 2 separate exciting shows
We are working on the program and will have it out shortly so you will know exactly which show your child will be in for which numbers.
Class lists on which show your child will be in, will be posted shortly.
There will be a reduced ticket price for those that will be able to attend both of SGSD performances and see all the SGSD dance school routines. Details will be out shortly. Tickets go on sale at the Citadel Box office beginning in May.

*New Preschool, and beginners that do not compete yet, will only be in one performance.
